About This Data

Tornado tracks use the NOAA Storm Prediction Center archive for historical years and the National Weather Service Damage Assessment Toolkit for recent surveyed tracks. Damage points and damage areas are queried from the live NWS Damage Assessment Toolkit and limited to the most recent five years. Warning polygons come from the Iowa Environmental Mesonet storm-based warning archive. SPC outlook and radar recap tabs use the existing IEM archive tools in this page. Click any supported feature on the map for survey or event details. Data is refreshed by the source agencies and may remain preliminary.
