Scope & Who We Are
This Privacy Policy applies to WeatherPower websites, mobile apps, radar and alert tools, Warning Center features, WeBot tools, APIs, beta features, paid features, and other related services that link to this policy (collectively, the “Services”).
WeatherPower is a weather-focused platform designed to help users monitor conditions, view radar and maps, receive or review alerts, save preferences and locations, use account features, and access related weather tools.
Information We Collect
We collect information in several categories depending on how you use the Services.
2.1 Information You Give Us
- Account details: Email address, username, display name, account credentials, and profile information you choose to provide.
- Saved settings: Favorite places, alert preferences, dashboard choices, saved themes, and other preferences connected to your use of WeatherPower.
- Messages and support content: Emails, bug reports, feedback, screenshots, attachments, and other communications you send to WeatherPower.
- User submissions: Information entered into WeBot, notes, comments, uploaded items, prompts, or other optional content you submit while using a feature.
2.2 Information We Collect Automatically
- Usage information: Pages visited, actions taken, taps, clicks, searches, session events, timestamps, and feature activity.
- Device and technical information: Browser type, operating system, app version, device type, general network information, IP address, logs, and error or crash diagnostics.
- Performance information: Data used to monitor loading speed, uptime, failures, reliability, and feature performance.
2.3 Location Information
If you allow it, WeatherPower may access approximate or precise location information from your device or browser so it can provide local radar, nearby alerts, forecast context, and other location-aware features.
2.4 Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies
WeatherPower may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep sessions working, remember settings, improve performance, support security, and understand how features are used.
2.5 Purchases and Transaction Information
If you purchase a paid WeatherPower feature, a payment processor may collect payment or billing information needed to complete the transaction. WeatherPower may receive limited transaction information such as purchase status, product, price, receipt or transaction identifiers, and related account information. WeatherPower does not need to receive your full payment-card number when a third-party processor handles the payment.
How We Use Information
We use information we collect to operate, improve, personalize, and protect WeatherPower, including to:
- Provide radar, maps, alerts, forecasts, account features, paid features, personalization, and saved preferences.
- Provide location-aware tools, local warnings, forecast context, and location-based shortcuts when you enable those features.
- Maintain accounts, authenticate users, remember settings, and provide customer support.
- Respond to bug reports, troubleshoot problems, and improve performance, reliability, and design.
- Detect abuse, fraud, unauthorized access, scraping, security threats, and other harmful activity.
- Send service-related messages, account notices, security alerts, and optional updates where permitted.
- Develop, test, and improve new WeatherPower tools, beta features, and experiences.

WeatherPower may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for purposes such as:
- Essential operation: Keeping the Services functioning, maintaining sessions, and supporting security.
- Preferences: Remembering saved locations, themes, display choices, and other settings.
- Analytics and diagnostics: Understanding how features are used and improving speed, reliability, stability, and design.
You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some storage technologies may affect how certain WeatherPower features work.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the Services, maintaining accounts and saved settings, processing transactions, handling support, improving security, preventing abuse, and complying with legal obligations.
- When information is no longer needed, we may delete it, anonymize it, or de-identify it where reasonable.

WeatherPower uses reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These may include encrypted connections where appropriate, account protections, access controls, logging, and monitoring for misuse.
No online service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. WeatherPower may update its safeguards as the Services change.
Children's Privacy
WeatherPower is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 without any consent or other steps required by applicable law.
If WeatherPower learns that personal information from a child under 13 was collected in a way that should not have occurred, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian who believes a child under 13 provided personal information to WeatherPower can contact us using the information at the bottom of this page.
Your Choices & Rights
Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights or choices relating to your personal information.
- Access: Ask for access to certain personal information WeatherPower holds about you.
- Correction: Ask WeatherPower to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Ask WeatherPower to delete certain personal information, subject to legal, security, billing, and operational exceptions.
- Location choices: Change or withdraw location permission through your browser, device, or operating-system settings.
- Communications choices: Opt out of optional promotional communications if WeatherPower sends them.
You may also be able to manage some information directly through WeatherPower account settings, app settings, browser controls, or device permissions.
International Processing
WeatherPower and service providers used to operate the Services may process information in the United States or in other countries where their systems operate. When information is processed outside your home region, applicable legal protections and provider safeguards may vary by location.

WeatherPower may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new or changed features, privacy practices, service providers, security changes, legal requirements, or operational updates.
